Living Vital are an organic food growing community garden located at the back of Stanmer Park in Brighton. They work with the refugee and migrant community and other marginalised groups along with local volunteers. They create a safe and welcoming space for everyone to reconnect with their bodies, their community and the ecosystem to help restore balance and wellbeing. The group grow together, cook together and share stories, forging friendships and creating a stronger, more diverse community that extends beyond the human sphere to incorporate the whole ecosystem.

Their general volunteer days are open to all and if you would like to know more about them or want to work alongside the refugee and migrant community on their Common Ground project please do get in touch to set up an induction.

“I love learning more and more with such an inspiring team. It’s a project that creatively inspires and creates a place of sanctuary for both plants and people. After working with other refugee charities, I’ve learned that outdoor spaces (like this) are invaluable for a sense of belonging and community”
